I had a really really

I had a really really really really really good night tonight.

It was the dinner for the Bank of Montreal National Scholars... they wined and dined us, to say the least. Here's the menu:

Eggplant and red and yellow pepper terrine accompanied by organic greens drizzled with balsamic vinegar.

Seafood consomme garnished with fennel and scallops.

Supreme of capon filled with spinach and shiitake served with a truffle sauce and seasonal vegetables.

Chocolate lace tower with chocolate mousse, fresh berries and chocolate sauce.

(The links above are to definitions of the words. If nothing else, at least go to the capon one. Don't ask me how the taste differs from regular chicken.)

More than just the food was good (the company too) but my excitement has been drained a little... so I won't describe it all now.

I also discovered that including my url in my e-mail signature has some unfortunate repercussions - that is, faculty members can read my Merediments if I send them mail. This isn't really a bad thing... but I hope they don't base their opinions of me entirely on this page. I tend to use this to release extreme emotions of one sort or another (plus random weird thoughts) and reading some previous entries, it looks like I'm failing my courses and have a 100% negative attitude toward my program. This isn't true... I just get stressed out and writing helps relieve some of that tension. Anyway, I figure it's not a bad thing for anyone to read my blog. It's my life. I have feelings, and I express my thoughts of the moment based on those feelings... it's a natural thing to do. So I shouldn't feel uncomfortable about people reading my words, regardless of their position or status. I'm me, take me or leave me, end of story, right? Right. (I think.)

Part of my concern perhaps lies in the fact that I used the term "bullshit" the other day. I DO NOT SWEAR. Engsci has done strange things to my mouth, and I'm combatting that with every method I know how. That's probably the only swear word on this whole domain. So I don't want people getting the wrong impression. Eeeep.

Anyway, go ahead and read... everyone's welcome, and that's all there is to it.

(I'm now off to do my physics assignment... wish me luck.)
